Settle in....

I intend to integrate a thoughtful mix of online activities into our lessons. At this stage of development, students are still getting used to various technology tools, so I will start with user-friendly applications instead of more complex online resources. Tablets and touch-screen laptops will be effective in supporting their learning journey. When students finish their assignments or participate in center activities, they will have designated time for online engagement. I plan to dedicate one hour each week for this purpose, which students can use during free time or while involved in center-based activities.

To enhance the learning experience, I will incorporate visual elements, images, videos, and music into my presentations. By creating engaging slideshows and digital presentations, and using relevant background music or videos during our lessons, I can capture our students' interest. Additionally, inviting virtual guest speakers through conferencing tools like Skype, Google Hangouts, or Zoom can further enrich our classroom environment. Given that today’s students are naturally drawn to technology, I believe by embedding it into our curriculum, we can effectively grab their attention and keep them engaged throughout the learning process.
